Cabin Fever Vendor Profile Featuring: The Collectors Agency & Coffee Planet

Can't believe that Cabin Fever is happening tomorrow! Today's vendor profile is a twofer, just because when ever I think of Paul the owner of The Collectors Agency I automatically think coffee.  Wait until you meet him at Cabin Fever chances are he'll have a cup of joe in his hand.

The Collector's Agency is definitely going to bring the masculinity to Cabin Fever, as you will find a lot of metal objects, cameras and lots of treasures in between. Paul is one of the greatest guys and his knowledge of the rusty object is amazing.  Paul and I have been teaming up at shows lately and he has been my partner in crime at bringing you all Cabin Fever.  Here's a sampling of some of the goods he will have.

The Collector's Agency can be found on the Interwebs:

And our final vendor profile is the local coffee shop Coffee Planet.  Which will be caffeinating us all on Saturday with coffee and tea pour overs.

" The city coffee shop is now alive in the Chicago suburbs. Started by a family passionate about coffee, Coffee Planet  entertains the coffee connoisseur, supports the local artist, and brings friends and family together.

We are up bright and early to ensure only quality drinks are poured into your cup. We pull every shot of espresso. Our coffee beans were roasted in downtown Chicago, brewed to freshness. We perfect every drink, so it may not be done in a few short seconds. When you take your first sip, however, it will be well worth the wait".

Coffee Planet can be found at  1450 Golf Rd. in Rolling Meadows. As well as on the interwebs:

Hope to see you all tomorrow!

Cabin Fever Vendor Profile Featuring: Vintage Meet Modern

Today's vendor profile features Vintage Meet Modern, your one stop shop for all things vintage sparkly jewelry.  The first time I meet Veronica the awesome owner of Vintage Meet Modern, she came up to me at a show and said how much she loved my instagram feed or something like that.  I was completely caught off guard but now getting to know her she is one of the sweetest girls with the most amazing knowledge of all things sparkly, and an amazing team player in this vintage seller world.

Veronica carries only quality timeless inventory and if you ask her a question about a certain piece she will give you more then enough information so that you leave with an educated answer for when you get the inevitable question of "Who are you wearing and where did you get that" at your next soirĂ©e.

If you are in need for something sparkly for a spring wedding or cocktail party coming up you are going to want to make sure you stop out on Saturday and say Hello to Vintage Meet Modern.

Cabin Fever Vendor Profile- Sugar Cookie Lady Vintage

I met Susan from Sugar Cookie Lady Vintage at one of the many Vintage Garage shows I popped up at.  What struck me with her booth was how organized and aestically pleasing to the eye that it was.  Susan has a great eye for vintage clothing many of her great items she will be bringing with her to Cabin Fever.

"Vintage items are wonderful. As any "vintage lover" relates, I often feel like am known as a bit of an eccentric for my fascination with old junk, but it doesn't bother me. I can remember some of the first items that I fell in love with: when I was about 4 years old, my Grandma Fitzgerald had a black lacquered music box that one of my uncles brought back from a tour of duty. There was a tiny geisha inside that danced to the theme from "Dr Zhivago". I was entranced and even now have that song on my ipod; it stirs something inside me".  From her bio on Etsy.

Susan has informed me that she will be bringing ALOT of vintage cowboy boots and boots in general along with some fabulous canvas tote bags and her amazing vintage clothing.

Cabin Fever Vendor Profile: Featuring Hummingbird

Our First Cabin Fever Vendor Profile is Hummingbird.  Their brick and mortar store is located on Main Street in Genoa.

Hummingbird is a team of mother and daughter painters and re-workers of worn vintage furniture. With a lot of creativity, thought, and extreme messiness our furniture is brought back to life and waiting for a new home. They use Annie Sloan chalk paint, stencil designs, and fabric or decoupage wall paper lined drawers, finished off with beautiful hardware. Each piece is gleaming with its own personality.

Their shop sparkles with one of a kind restored crystal chandeliers. Also, their chic reworked shade-less lamps, they're always on the hunt for just the right one to add to their shop. Also, their handmade bath salts and hand scrubs. Using organic ingredients. Their signature candles hand pored with soy wax into Vintage cups. Hummingbird has ever changing eclectic decor!

Here is where you can find Hummingbird on the Interwebs

Thoughtful Gift Guide: Featuring Cabin Fever Vendors

Hey There Trunk Nation! Valentines Day is right around the corner so I thought I'd put together a collage of some of the trinkets from Cabin Fever vendors that would make thoughtful gifts not just for Valentines Day but for any occasion and ofcourse to also treat yourself.

First up is this vintage Diane Von Furstenberg necklace from Vintage Meet Modern.  I first learned for DVF when I lived in New York, let's be honest that's when I learned about all the designers and got a real education from my Manhattan friends.  DVF is one of my favorites and this piece from the 70's is timeless. I love it's simplicity and it's elegance.  Necklace can be found HERE

Ciffon Peach Sheer Babydoll from Sugar Cookie Lady. This could be worn for it's obvious purpose or it would look great with a lacy tank under and leggings or skinny jeans and topped with a leather jacket for a sexy date night.  Babydoll can be found HERE

The winter here in Chicago has been brutal, but with a few more weeks of it left these cozy well made unisex fingerless gloves from Kalknits would brighten anyones day. Perfect for anyone that needs access to fingers but wants to keep the rest of their hand warm. I use mine when photographing things outdoors.  Gloves can be found HERE

The Collectors Agency has this fedora for the dapper fella in your life or you know to keep for yourself.  Hat is made by Towncraft and is made from beaver.  I love the detailing and especially the tiny feather.  Hat can be found HERE

Hummingbird has the most amazing painted furniture. I can see this piece in an entry way of a house with a globe and some family photos on top. They have so much more to offer though take a look at their etsy shop! Table can be found HERE

Well I hope that this sampling has enticed you to come out on Feb. 22nd and see some of these gems in person.  Keep watching next week as I feature each one of the vendors and their treasures.
 Happy Valentines Day!
